Thermal insulation specialist Seymour Manufacturing International (SMI) has announced a new strategic partnership aimed at helping organisations reduce energy consumption, cut operating costs and improve sustainability performance.

The collaboration with True Group will see both companies introduce each other’s expertise to relevant customers and networks, creating new opportunities and what they describe as “measurable value” for organisations seeking practical, commercially-driven energy‑efficiency solutions.

Through shared content, events and referrals, Telford-based SMI will help connect organisations with True Group’s strategic energy and sustainability support.

In turn, Guildford-based True Group will promote SMI’s proven thermal‑insulation technologies to businesses that could benefit from reducing unnecessary energy loss.

Jill Seymour, managing director of SMI, said: “This partnership is a natural fit. True Group shares our commitment to helping organisations make practical, commercially sensible improvements that deliver real results.

“By combining our Tempro technology with their strategic insight, we can help even more businesses unlock energy savings they didn’t realise were possible. We’re excited about the measurable value this collaboration will create for customers across multiple sectors.”

She added: “For decades, SMI has focused on reducing energy loss at the source. Working alongside True Group allows us to amplify that mission and support organisations that want to improve efficiency, cut costs and strengthen their sustainability performance.”

True Group says the partnership will help businesses uncover one of the most overlooked opportunities in energy management: preventing avoidable energy waste.

CEO Chris Maclean said: “We're on a mission to save two million tonnes of carbon (CO2e) and £2 billion of energy costs for our customers by 2030. We're immensely proud of the impact we have made on businesses across the UK and Europe.

“By combining True Group’s strategic expertise with SMI’s proven technology, the two organisations will support businesses in identifying projects that deliver meaningful reductions in energy consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions.”

SMI, based at Stafford Park, has been a leader in thermal‑insulation innovation since the 1980s, working with many of the UK’s most recognisable brands including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Lidl and Co‑op, as well as the NHS and Ministry of Defence.
