Telford International Centre (TIC) is delighted to announce the promotion of Holly Jones to Event Manager. Since joining the venue in 2023 Holly has shown herself to be a hardworking and dedicated team member.


Holly first came to TIC on a work experience placement before returning a few years later as an Apprentice Events Administrator. Following the successful completion of her apprenticeship Holly was offered the position of Events Coordinator in October 2024.

Commenting on Holly’s promotion, Diane Austin, Operations Director says:


“Since first meeting Holly I have been impressed by her maturity and professionalism. During work experience she always had a notebook in hand and was never afraid to ask lots of questions and take copious notes. Holly has been a tremendous support to her work colleagues and has received lots of outstanding client feedback. I have no doubt Holly will go from strength to strength as she builds on her experience and develops her skills.”

Congratulations on your promotion! Tell us why you are pleased about the promotion?

Thank you! I'm very pleased to have received this promotion, as it's something I've been working towards since I started my apprenticeship in 2023. It's rewarding to see my hard work, learning, and dedication recognised. I'm excited to continue developing my skills, take on new challenges, and contribute even more in my new role.

What do you like most about working within the events industry?

What I like most about working within the events industry is that each event is different and brings new challenges and opportunities to learn. I enjoy being a part of creating memorable experiences for people and seeing all the planning and hard work come together in a successful event. I also like the problem-solving aspect, meeting new people, and developing new skills in such a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I'm most looking forward to taking on greater responsibilities, continuing to develop my skills, and learning even more within the events industry. I'm excited to challenge myself, support clients and my internal team in new ways, and contribute to delivering successful events. I'm also looking forward to growing in my career and making the most of the opportunities that come with this new role.
