As national A-Level results are announced, Adcote School is celebrating another outstanding set of results for its 2026 Year 13 students, reflecting the ambition, hard work and determination of pupils and staff across the school.

An impressive one in five grades achieved by Year 13 Adcote students was an A*, while 52% of all 2026 grades were A*/A. More than three quarters (78%) of grades were awarded at A*-B, and 93% achieved A*-C.

The results come during another exciting year for Adcote. The school has been commended in the Independent School of the Year Awards, recognising its dedication to SEND inclusion. Adcote also continues to offer a range of scholarships and bursaries for local students, helping talented young people access an outstanding education.

Academic Highlights

  • Outstanding Performance: One in five Year 13 grades achieved an A*.
  • High Top-End Achievement: 52% of grades were A*/A, with 78% at A*-B.
  • Consistent Success: 93% of all grades were awarded A*-C.
  • STEM Excellence: 80% A*-B in Chemistry, 75% A*-B in Biology, and 100% A*/A in Physics.
  • Exceptional EPQ Results: 100% of EPQ students achieved A*/A grades.
  • Widespread High Achievement: 67% of students achieved at least one A*/A, while 44% achieved at least two A*/A grades.
  • University Progression: Adcote students are progressing to leading universities in the UK and internationally, pursuing subjects ranging from Biochemistry and Biomedical Science to Astrophysics and Media.

Celebrating Individual Success

Among this year's exceptional individual performances is Elinor, from the UK, who achieved A*A*A* alongside an A* in her EPQ. She will now go on to study Biochemistry at the University of York.

Julia, from Poland, achieved A*AA, alongside an outstanding EPQ result. She is planning to study Biomedical Science, with options including King's College London and study in Warsaw, Poland.

Sally, from China achieved A*AAC, together with an A* in her EPQ, and will pursue Media at UCL.

Grace will continue her academic journey by studying Astrophysics at the University of York.
