Priestgate Landscapes and Horticulture Ltd is celebrating another major milestone after receiving recognition in the 2026 SME News Midlands Enterprise Awards.
The Shropshire-based landscaping and horticulture business has been named Best Garden Landscaping & Maintenance Company 2026 – West Midlands, with its official winner profile now published by SME News.
The award recognises the continued development of Priestgate and the work of its team across landscaping, horticulture, garden maintenance and outdoor improvement projects.
For Director Phil Birtwhistle, the publication of the official winner's page marks an opportunity to reflect on the progress of the company and the people who have contributed to its success.
Phil said:
“Seeing the award officially announced is a very proud moment for all of us at Priestgate. There is a huge amount of work behind every project we undertake, from the initial planning through to the physical work on site, and recognition like this means a great deal to the whole team.
“We have always wanted Priestgate to be a business that takes genuine pride in its work. Landscaping and horticulture are industries where your reputation is built project by project, so our focus has been on continuing to improve, investing in what we do and delivering work that both we and our customers can be proud of.
“Most importantly, I want to thank our customers. The recommendations, reviews, repeat business and trust people place in us have all played a part in getting Priestgate to where it is today.”
Recognition for a growing Shropshire business
The Midlands Enterprise Awards celebrate businesses operating throughout the region, with SME News confirming Priestgate as one of its 2026 winners and awarding the company the title of Best Garden Landscaping & Maintenance Company 2026 – West Midlands.
For Priestgate, the accolade represents more than simply adding another trophy to the cabinet. It provides further recognition for a Shropshire business working to combine professional landscaping services with horticultural knowledge and a commitment to continually raising standards.
The company undertakes a wide range of work, from complete garden transformations and hard landscaping through to planting, horticultural projects and ongoing garden maintenance.
Phil added:
“Awards are fantastic for the team and give us an opportunity to celebrate what we've achieved, but they don't change what happens the following morning. We still get up, get the vans loaded and go out with the same objective – to do the best job we possibly can.
“We are proud to be a Shropshire business and proud to be growing the company here. The next challenge is to build on this recognition and make Priestgate even stronger.”
The official announcement represents another positive chapter for the company as it looks towards the remainder of 2026 and beyond, continuing to develop its landscaping and horticultural services while representing Shropshire's SME community across the wider Midlands.
