Shropshire’s Ui Ai joins Chamber and introduces Amica, its AI digital employee

Shropshire-based technology company Ui Ai has joined Shropshire Chamber of Commerce following its launch, bringing a new approach to customer service and business support to the region’s business community.

The British-owned company, which has an office in Shrewsbury, helps organisations use artificial intelligence to improve how they communicate with customers, support their employees and generate sales. Its principal product, Amica, is a customisable 3D digital human designed to become a customer-facing extension of a business’s team.

Ui Ai serves six key sectors: Education, Charities, Retail, Manufacturing & OEMs, Automotive and Hospitality, tailoring Amica’s role to the needs of each organisation and the people it serves.

For many organisations, keeping up with enquiries is a daily challenge. Calls arrive while staff are helping someone else, website visitors need advice before making a decision, and questions come in after the working day has ended. Each interaction takes time, but it can also be an opportunity to build a relationship or secure new business.

Amica is designed to help organisations manage those moments, providing support around the clock while allowing employees to concentrate on work that needs their experience, judgement and personal attention.

A digital employee built around your organisation

Amica combines conversational AI with a 3D digital human interface. It can answer questions, guide people towards relevant products and services, capture enquiries and support order processing, with options for use across websites, telephone services and in-store settings.

Each Amica can be tailored to the organisation it represents, including its branding, language, tone and visual presentation. This helps businesses offer a consistent experience across customer interactions.

Its purpose goes beyond providing information. Amica is designed to help people take their next step, whether that means exploring a product, making an enquiry or progressing towards a purchase.

Supporting six key sectors

Ui Ai’s approach recognises that a school, a charity and a manufacturer have different audiences, priorities and customer journeys. Amica’s applications reflect those differences:

  • Education: Supporting admissions enquiries, helping prospective families find information and assisting pupil recruitment, with multilingual communication to make information more accessible.
  • Charities: Supporting donor engagement and handling routine questions, giving charity teams more time to focus on frontline work and the communities they serve.
  • Retail: Helping shoppers find suitable products, answering questions and suggesting relevant accessories or services to support purchasing decisions.
  • Manufacturing & OEMs: Answering technical enquiries, guiding customers towards appropriate products and helping dealers access information around the clock.
  • Automotive: Responding to vehicle and product questions, supporting test-drive bookings and helping keep service enquiries moving.
  • Hospitality: Handling questions about bookings, menus and allergens, alongside guest requests, to support a responsive service.

Across these sectors, the aim is the same: make it easier for people to get the help they need while reducing repetitive demands on employees.

Bringing practical AI to the local business community

For organisations exploring AI, the starting point is often an everyday operational challenge. Which questions do staff answer repeatedly? When do enquiries go unanswered? Where do customers struggle to find the information they need?

These questions help make the conversation about AI specific and useful. They give organisations a way to consider the technology in relation to their own service, workload and business priorities.

Joining Shropshire Chamber marks another step in Ui Ai’s launch and creates opportunities to connect with businesses across the county.
