A festive workshop will see participants making Christmas wreaths and raising funds for a county charity.

The event at Fordhall Organic Farm, situated on the outskirts of Market Drayton, on Sunday 6th December has been organised by 4 All Foundation, with proceeds going towards their community programmes.

The charity works across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and the surrounding areas, offering a range of activities from youth clubs and school holiday provision to wellbeing groups and health initiatives. Their main aims centre around supporting community engagement, sports participation, health and wellbeing, and education and employability.

Attendees – who should bring along an apron to wear, and secateurs if they have them - can choose between the morning session, which runs from 10am to 12pm, and an afternoon slot from 1pm to 3pm. They will be provided with foliage collected from the Shropshire countryside, in addition to any foraged materials they wish to bring along themselves, and free tea, coffee and homemade mince pies will also be available.

Gemma Hargreaves, 4 All’s Corporate and Events Engagement Officer, said: “We are really excited to be running these workshops and can’t wait to see the creations made on the day – which of course, participants will be able to take home with them and proudly display over the Christmas period!

“It’s even more special that Fordhall Organic Farm has agreed to host the sessions in the Straw Lodge, a beautiful space with its own wood burner. As England’s first community-owned farm, we are very lucky to have Fordhall in Shropshire and we’re delighted to be working alongside them to run this creative festive event.”

Tickets costing £40 plus booking fee per person, with all proceeds going to 4 All Foundation, are available from bit.ly/WreathAM for the 10am session, or bit.ly/WreathPM for the 1pm session.
