On the 22nd of March County Training held its annual Awards Evening.

The goal of the event was to celebrate the achievements of our learners and thank employers. We certainly did that!

We were happy to be able to run this event again as last years had to be cancelled due to Covid.

The evening started with an introduction from Dr Jonathan Gill, the Director of County Training. Following on Julia Hackett, the head of County Training introduced the first guest speaker, Craig Jenkins from Landona House (a residential care home). Craig spoke fondly of his experiences with County Training and his assessor as he started as an apprentice too. The second guest speakers, Chloe Jones (a current County Training staff member and successful apprentice), Jess Jones (a successful hairdressing apprentice) and Sarah Harley (a successful business administration apprentice) were next up to speak, sharing their experiences with County Training, where they started and where they hope to be in the future.

Next Julia Hackett announced the winners of the several different categories of awards. The winners each got a lovely award and certificate to commemorate their success. Photos were taken of the winners and a lovely buffet was provided for everyone.

It was a lovely evening for all and we hope to continually celebrate the success of our learners and give thanks to the wonderful employers who continually support County Training apprentices.
