Running a business can be brilliant, exciting and incredibly rewarding, but it can also be lonely, overwhelming and, at times, pretty difficult to navigate when every decision ultimately lands with you.

That’s where I come in.

I’m Fran Ash, a Business Mentor based in Telford, supporting business owners, entrepreneurs and busy professionals across Shropshire and beyond who want an independent person in their corner.

My mentoring is practical, personal and completely tailored to the person sitting in front of me. I help clients untangle the noise, work out what actually needs their attention, put structure into their working week and turn all those ideas, plans and good intentions into meaningful action.

Sometimes that means creating a clear plan when everything feels overwhelming. Sometimes it’s accountability when procrastination has crept in. Sometimes it’s having someone to challenge your thinking, soundboard an idea with, work through a wobble or simply ask the questions that you’re not asking yourself.

There’s no corporate jargon, complicated frameworks or one-size-fits-all approach. We talk human to human, work out what you need and decide together what the next steps look like.

I offer focused one-to-one mentoring sessions as well as ongoing mentoring and accountability support, working with people at different stages of their business or professional journey. Ultimately, my role is to help you gain clarity, create structure, build confidence and keep moving forward.

Connecting people is also a huge part of what I do.

I’m the founder of Bathing in Business, an informal networking community created to make networking feel more relaxed, welcoming and accessible. What started as an idea to bring local business people together without the pressure and formality often associated with traditional networking has grown into a thriving Shropshire business community.

Bathing in Business events take place at different venues across the county and are built around genuine conversation and connection. No awkward pitches, no pressure to sell and no expectation that you need to walk away with a fistful of business cards - just an opportunity to meet good people, build relationships and feel part of the local business community.

I’m also proud to be a Networking Ambassador for Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, helping to welcome people into the Chamber community, make introductions and encourage businesses to get the most from networking and the relationships around them.

Whether I’m mentoring somebody one-to-one, introducing two people who really need to know each other, or bringing a room full of businesses together through Bathing in Business, the thread running through everything I do is simple: People, connection and moving forward.

Think of me as your independent business wingwoman - someone who will support you through the wobbles, celebrate the wins, challenge you when you get in your own way and make sure the things you said you wanted to get done, actually get done.
