Niche Patisserie

Niche is a family business bringing to the town of Oswestry something very Niche in bakery and patisserie through to service and experiences for guests of Niche.

Adam and his mum Samantha have many years between them of hospitality, guest experiences and bakery and patisserie skills. Both aim high with wonderful creations from Adam using only the best in products/produce, service and guest experiences from front of house from Samantha. With Adam creating in the kitchen and mum out the front it is a great family affair.

Starting from very humble beginnings in April 2020 whilst in lockdown Adam was baking at home with family, local neighbours were waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread and croissants. Soon there were orders coming in for some of these delights and word began to spread throughout the town of a Semi Finalist from Bake Off in the area baking every morning.

Niche was launched in May 2020 with social media growing daily and orders coming through from recommendations and experiences of Adam’s baked goods. Deliveries started through lockdown bringing some joy in what was very uncertain time for all of us.

Growing week by week Niche needed headquarters to work from and The Black Gate was empty. This was a very sad building that had been left empty for over 3 and a half years. There was a vision from Samantha that this little “Chocolate box building” could bring joy to the town and surrounding visitors and would be the ideal place for guests and their families and friends to enjoy something Niche. Niche at The Black Gate was officially opened in September 2021 and has been growing ever since.
