Shropshire FA

Shropshire FA is the county’s dedicated governing body for grassroots football, proudly supporting local clubs, volunteers and communities since 1877. 

As an affiliate of The Football Association (FA), we play a central role in developing the game across Shropshire, overseeing more than 13,000 registered players and 1,000 teams of all ages and formats, including a rapidly growing 2,500-strong female player base driven by national momentum in the women’s game.

Backed by over 6,000 volunteers and hosting 14 County Cup Finals each year, Shropshire FA operates as a registered charity committed to increasing participation, championing inclusivity and generating long-term social value through football.

We work closely with local businesses and organisations to create meaningful partnership opportunities, helping connect the power of sport with the wider Shropshire economy and community.
