Shropshire Chamber of Commerce has added a new member to its team – and she’s never off duty.

Sabrina is a website assistant designed to help members and visitors find information they need faster and with far less searching. And because she never sleeps, she’s available day or night.

Chamber marketing manager Ella Preece said: “The idea is simple – if you can ask it, Sabrina can help you to find it.

“Whether you want to know about upcoming events, enquire about how to join the Chamber, or are seeking business support, she’ll point you in the right direction.

“There is a huge amount of useful information on our website, from networking events and training opportunities to membership support and local business news, so finding exactly what you need can sometimes be time-consuming. This is where Sabrina comes in.

“Rather than navigating through layers of pages, many people now prefer to ask questions directly, so they can get to the information they need faster, with less frustration and fewer clicks.”

Shaun Carvill, managing director of Clickingmad, the Bridgnorth-based digital agency behind the Chamber website, said: “Most websites expect visitors to understand how the site is organised before they can find what they need. In reality, though, people arrive with a simple question.

“Sabrina turns the website into something much more natural to use. Instead of searching through multiple pages and menus, visitors can just explain what they are looking for and be guided straight to the right place.

“We are seeing more organisations introduce chat assistants because they make websites far easier to navigate. For organisations like Shropshire Chamber, that means businesses can quickly find events, support and opportunities without having to hunt around the site.”
