Shropshire Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new events and training manager.

Grace Bywater, who joined the Chamber team last summer, has been promoted to the role after completing her apprenticeship with SBC Training.

She said: "I've really enjoyed meeting our local business community at events, and I can't express how supportive everyone has been throughout my development journey.

“Now it's my turn to give back by delivering valuable events and training courses that continue to support your business.”

Grace, from Shrewsbury, graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in English literature, journalism and media.

She said she joined the Chamber team because she wanted to build a career where she could work closely with people, help organise events, and get involved in marketing.

“I enjoy being part of a team, coming up with creative ideas, and making sure things run smoothly. I am especially interested in roles that let me connect with others and create memorable experiences.”

“It’s an amazing opportunity to meet professionals across Shropshire and build valuable connections. It allows me to use my organisational skills in event planning, gain hands-on experience, and be part of a respected organisation like the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.”

Kelly Riedel, head of member success at Shropshire Chamber, said: “This is such a well-deserved promotion. We couldn't be prouder of Grace and everything she has achieved.”
