The UK honours system recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their profession, community, sector or wider society. Whether through business leadership, voluntary service, innovation or community action, honours celebrate those who have made a significant and lasting impact.

Many deserving people are never nominated simply because nobody puts them forward. We encourage Shropshire Chamber members and the wider business community to consider whether they know someone whose achievements merit national recognition and to submit a nomination.

To support prospective nominators, the Department for Business and Trade is hosting a webinar on 12th August explaining how the honours process works, what makes a strong nomination and how to present evidence of an individual's impact and achievements.
