Shropshire Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a standout line‑up of speakers for its latest tourism, hospitality and leisure networking event.

The Wroxeter Hotel, near Shrewsbury, is hosting the session from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Thursday September 10.

Speakers include Mark Hooper from Visit Shropshire, Beth Heath from Shropshire Festivals, and Katie Greenow of Veenow Vineyard at Waters Upton.

Mark will explain how an AI-powered footfall and visitor analytics platform can help the sector make more informed planning decisions.

Beth, whose business is behind events such as Shrewsbury Food Festival and Shropshire Petal Fields, will share how events boost the local economy – and why authenticity can be just as powerful as marketing.

And Katie, from the only certified sustainable vineyard in the Midlands, will explain how sustainability drives the business, and look at some of the opportunities which climate change brings for English wine production.

The Chamber’s events and training manager Grace Bywater said: “Tourism and leisure is one of the most dynamic and important parts of our local economy.

“We’re proud to bring together such a strong line‑up of speakers who understand the challenges and opportunities facing businesses on the ground. It’s going to be an energising evening for anyone working in hospitality, tourism or leisure.

“Following the speaker presentations, there will be dedicated time for networking, idea sharing and building new partnerships.

“Whether you are looking to strengthen local links, discover new opportunities or simply stay informed, this is a great chance to connect with others shaping Shropshire's hospitality, tourism and leisure sector.”
