Comic book artist and illustrator Charlie Adlard – best known for his award-winning work on The Walking Dead – has lent his artistic talents to Shropshire’s Covid-19 ‘stay safe’ campaign.

The Shrewsbury-born artist has produced a range of designs for Shropshire Council, encouraging people to keep their social distance, wash their hands, and get tested.

Laura Pell, the council’s communications manager, said: “These are available for anyone who would like to display them in their premises, to help spread the message in a slightly different way!”

Charlie has been a veteran of the comic industry for over 25 years, and received many industry awards for his work.

In his time as a cartoonist he has worked on projects as far reaching as Mars Attacks, the X-Files, Judge Dredd, Savage, Batman, X-Men, and Superman, as well as spending 16 years on The Walking Dead.
