The Community Awards by Aico|HomeLINK will recognise the achievements of inspirational individuals and organisations working within the local community and social housing. Hosted by George Clarke, Architect and TV presenter, this spectacular awards ceremony will welcome over 300 people and finalists for an evening of celebration and entertainment.

The Award categories are:

Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative

This award recognises suppliers to the social housing industry or social housing providers who have gone the extra mile and have been committed to supporting the wider communities they serve. The winner will be chosen by the attendees on the night and issued with funds to support their project.

Neighbourhood Transformation

This award recognises a social housing provider that has completed or has an ongoing project to transform and regenerate their local community to make their area a better place to live.

Resident Engagement

This award recognises the best engagement with residents in the housing sector and puts communication and residents’ views at the forefront of their decision-making.

Lifetime Achievement Award

We are looking for someone who has lived and breathed social housing or fire safety during their career. They will have driven change both in the organisation at which they have worked and in either the housing or fire safety sector as a whole.

Woman in Fire Safety Award

Celebrating the contribution of women to the fire industry in the UK. Entrants can nominate any woman working within the fire industry who have gone above and beyond in their role to make a difference over the last 12 months.

College Initiative of the Year

This award celebrates the best and most innovative initiative among UK further education and sixth form colleges to promote best practices and support student development.

Rising Star Award

We are looking to reward the special newcomer, junior team member or apprentice who is making a difference in their organisation, bringing improvements, and working towards positive change in the industry.

Electrical Contractor of the Year

We are looking to recognise an electrical contractor who has completed the Expert Installer Training and engaged with the Installer Community, and has provided exceptional support and demonstrated outstanding professionalism, innovation or service contribution to a project or contract.

Inspirational Colleague of the Year

This award will recognise an individual who goes above and beyond to deliver a high quality of work which goes above and beyond the call of duty. This could be someone who has put innovation or creativity at the heart of what they do or someone who has showed unstoppable determination.

Sustainability Project of the Year

Working towards a more sustainable future and way of powering and building homes will be the key to relieving some of the environmental impact our current ways of doing things on the planet, with the aim of being Zero Carbon. We are looking to reward individuals, organisations or collaborations who are working on or implemented sustainable solutions for a greener future in social housing.

Best Distributor Community Initiative

This award is dedicated to distributors who have gone the extra mile and have been committed to supporting the wider communities they serve.

Entries must be submitted on an entry form by 31st March 2022, 5pm. Finalists will be notified by 15th April 2022, and Awards will be presented during the evening of the Community Awards at the ICC, Birmingham on 12th May 2022.
