Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is bringing businesses together for a dynamic event designed to accelerate their journey towards greener, more responsible operations.
The Sustainability Event will be held on Tuesday March 24, from 9am to 11.30am, at The Valley Hotel, in Ironbridge.
Jenny Pearson, the Chamber’s head of commercial success, said: “As sustainability continues to rise on the agenda for businesses of all sizes, this focused morning session will explore the challenges organisations face in reducing their environmental impact.
“The event will also highlight the practical solutions and expert guidance available in the region to help businesses to meet their goals.”
The event is free for Chamber members and £15 plus VAT for non-members. Attendees will hear from leading sustainability specialists including long-standing advocate Andy Whyle who will chair the session.
Andy has extensive experience supporting organisations across the West Midlands and brings a wealth of knowledge on embedding sustainable practices into the day-to-day life of your business.
The programme will also feature guest speaker Andy Goff who will deliver a presentation on the ‘Sustainability Road Map’, offering businesses a clear framework for planning and implementing environmental strategies.
Jenny Pearson will provide an overview of a newly introduced Sustainability prize at this summer’s Shropshire Chamber Business Awards which will celebrate organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to environmental responsibility.
The event will end with an interactive question and answer session to give delegates the opportunity to put their questions to the experts and receive tailored advice on the issues most relevant to their business.
Jenny said the event formed part of the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to supporting Shropshire businesses as they navigate the evolving sustainability landscape.
“Whether organisations are just beginning to explore environmental improvements or are looking to build on existing initiatives, the session aims to provide practical, actionable help.”
