Bridgnorth-based website specialist Clickingmad Ltd has been appointed by Beacon Centre for the Blind, the Wolverhampton charity that supports people living with sight loss, to manage and develop its website. The move is part of the charity's plan to strengthen its digital presence and improve the way it serves its community across the West Midlands.

Beacon Centre has moved to Clickingmad through the agency's Move & Fix service, picking a regional partner with the technical depth to support a website that plays a central role in connecting people with services, information and practical help.

The charity was looking for a web partner who understood both the complexity of the site and the value of responsive, collaborative support. Working with a Shropshire specialist gives Beacon Centre closer communication, a better grasp of the region it serves, and a shared sense of purpose.

Victoria Wilcox, Beacon Centre's Head of Systems and Infrastructure, said: "Our website is an important part of how we support people living with sight loss and connect with our wider community. We wanted a partner who really understood what we need our website to do and could support its complexity. Clickingmad stood out on every level and really understand how important it is for us to have a website that is accessible for people with sight loss."

Move & Fix begins with a full audit of the existing site, covering performance, accessibility, content and infrastructure. The Clickingmad team then works through the issues in order, keeping the site live for visitors and supporters throughout.

For a charity like Beacon Centre, where the website acts as a front door for people seeking support, as well as for families, donors and volunteers, faults are more than a technical nuisance. They get in the way of the people the charity exists to serve.

Shaun Carvill, Managing Director of Clickingmad, said: "Beacon Centre does extraordinary work across the region and they deserve a website that's reliable, accessible and easy to keep up to date. We're proud to bring it back to a local team."
