One of Shropshire's up and coming farm attractions is expanding its visitor offer after experiencing huge demand for its Highland Cow experiences.

The farm in Broseley, which has welcomed visitors since 2023, is investing in new facilities which include a renewed farm entrance and gift shop building and a new natural play area for children.

The new gift shop will allow the farm to sell a wider range of merchandise, much of which is sourced from local small businesses and craftspeople. The business is also investing in a much-improved entrance area with dedicated disabled parking spaces.

The new natural play area is being designed with a “forest-school” theme and will encourage children to create their own play in a natural environment.

Further improvements have also been made, which have opened up more of the farm space to visitors, allowing them to enjoy a wider range of animals and the spectacular panoramic views across Shropshire that have previously been inaccessible to visitors.

The attraction had around 5,500 visitors in 2025 and is expecting this to soar to over 12,000 in 2026.

These new developments have come as a result of the enormous success of the farm’s Highland Cow experiences, which have generated an average of 500 additional visitors to the farm each month.

As well as these new features, visitors can also enjoy a walk around the quaint and rustic farmyard to meet over 60 animals. These include Alpacas, Llamas, Pygmy Goats, the smallest Sheep breed in the world, other rare sheep breeds and the Dexter Cattle - the smallest Cows in Europe. Also available to see are the Giant Rabbits and the Small Animal Barn.

And last, but not least, the farm’s star Jeffrey the Llama continues to delight visitors with his love of selfies and cheeky personality.

The farm offers free parking, animal feed is available to purchase and the Farmyard Café is available with a range of drinks and snacks to enjoy.

Frankly Farm Tours first opened as a visitor attraction in April 2022, branded as Frankly Alpacas and starting with a single field where visitors could meet 9 alpacas for private meet and greets. Since then, its owners John and Natalie Franklin-Hackett have built up their business to become one of Shropshire's up-and-coming visitor attractions. Positive reviews have led to the farm winning TripAdvisor Traveller's Choice awards in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The farm were also awarded the winner’s trophy in the “Social & Environmental Impact” category of the 2024 Good2Great Startup Awards and were finalists in the 2025 Shropshire Chamber of Commerce “Best New Business” Awards.

Speaking about the farm’s expansion, co-owner Natalie said:

“With the school holidays approaching we’re conscious that many people, especially families, will be looking for affordable and fun places to visit. We are continuing to invest in upgrading and improving the farm to ensure every visitor has a great day out. With our range of animals, new gift shop and play areas and The Farmyard Café, we have more to offer than ever before.”
